Join the Auto Care Association & Bill Russo, founder and CEO, Automobility, Ltd. and AmCham Shanghai’s Automotive Committee Chair for the last webinar in this three-part series. Previously, we addressed the impact of COVID-19 on China’s automotive industry and the global automotive supply chain and highlighted opportunities in the “new normal” emerging from the shift in consumption patterns from offline to online. To conclude, we will provide actionable recommendations on seizing a “Right-to-Win” in the post-COVID competitive landscape.

Due to the impact of COVID-19, the global automotive industry has experienced severe demand and supply shocks while supply chains remain under political and economic pressure to break the decades-long practice of low-cost country sourcing. A future distributed global supply system will require new sourcing patterns, which balance disruption risk with cost efficiency. This webinar will discuss:
  • Building new partnerships targeting the rapid expanding independent aftermarket in China and other emerging growth markets.
  • Partnering with Chinese Supplier-to-Business-to-Consumer (S2B2C) aftermarket players to upgrade capabilities to become efficient supply chain aggregators.
  • Collaborating with traditional fragmented Chinese aftermarket players to upgrade their businesses to drive scale as they cope with digital disruption.
PRESENTER Bill Russo is the Shanghai-based Founder and CEO of Automobility Limited, a strategy and investment advisory firm helping its clients to create the future of mobility. His over 35 years of experience includes 15 years as an automotive executive, including 16 years in China and Asia. He has also worked nearly 12 years in the electronics and IT industries. He has worked as an advisor and consultant for many multinational and local Chinese firms in the formulation and implementation of their global market and product strategies. Bill is also currently the Chair of the Automotive Committee at AmCham in Shanghai.
