Despite the proliferation of online purchasing, not a great deal of tools were actually purchased by the
respondents over the internet . Only a small number of respondents (9 . 4 percent) purchased more than half
of their tools online, while 39 . 6 percent purchased less than 25 percent . Nearly one in five respondents
(19 . 8 percent) purchased as many as 25 percent, but fewer than half of their tools online . Among all job
categories, parts managers (12 . 5 percent) accounted for the largest percentage of respondents who
